Physical Corporate Visits – Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre
Visiting exhibitions at the HKCEC might not be a new experience for most Hong Kong people. However, to participate in an in-depth tour, guided by the HKCEC staff, is definitely an unforgettable experience.
In August, we invited our colleagues from the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Management) Limited ("HML"), a member of NWS, to lead a special tour for this year’s EXP participants. Students from Lok Sin Tong Leung Chik Wai Memorial School participated in the tour.
Event Planning & Co-ordination team colleague, Burns, was invited to share his experience organising large-scale events. He mentioned that being detail-oriented is one of the keys to orchestrating a successful event. Even the smallest details like the temperature of the venue and the scent in the air should be considered and taken care of. In addition to listening to the insightful sharing, our EXP participants also got a valuable chance to follow Burns in a visit to the pre-exhibition work station.
On top of the exhibition business, HML is keenly focused on sustainable development. Sam from Facilities Planning & Operations showcased various innovative and green infrastructure installations to the students during the tour. They visited the solar panels on the HKCEC rooftop and interacted with the 5G smart robot, Captain C, and the smart scrubbing robot, Hana.
“The whole journey was an eye-opening experience.”, shared an EXP participant.
